How long does it take to get my jewelry?

Most of our pieces are made to order. Depending on the piece, please allow 5-7 business days (up to 10 business days during peak season) to make the jewelry, plus shipping time. Please check the product description for a more detailed timeline. Orders placed over the weekend and major holidays are fulfilled the next business day. We also do not deliver on weekends or holidays.

Can I cancel or edit my order after the order's been placed?

Please send us an email to hey@kinnstudio.com with your order number within 24 hours and we'll try our best to accommodate your request.

Can I edit my address after the order's been placed?

If the order hasn't shipped yet, we can edit the shipping address. Send us an email to hey@kinnstudio.com as soon as possible. 

Where can I track my order?

You can track your package by clicking "Track My Order" in your shipping confirmation email, or by logging into your account on kinnstudio.com. It will take a day or two for your tracking information to populate.

What's your return policy?

Please note that Kinn Vintage has its own return policy. Please read the 'Vintage' section for more information.

For domestic orders, you may return unworn or unused items within 10 business days of the delivery date. We will determine if the piece is eligible for a full refund once it arrives back to us. Depending on the condition of the returned item, there can be a 15% restocking fee (i.e. if it's been severely damaged or clearly worn).

Customers are responsible for paying a standard $10 returns and processing fee, which will be deducted from the refunded total.

We do not accept returns or exchanges for international orders.

Custom orders, custom and half sized pieces, and engraved items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Please be advised that once the product has been shipped, we do not refund Route Package Protection.

Can I exchange for a different size?

If you're exchanging to another whole size that we offer, you can simply send the piece back to us for an exchange. If you're looking to make a custom size, we can re-size them for you at a small labor fee of $50. Please use the service here:  For any custom orders including engraved items are final sale but we can re-size them. Please use the re-sizing service here: https://kinnstudio.com/products/custom-sizes. After you've made the purchase, please request to have a label sent to you. 

Please note that we cannot offer re-size requests for international orders.

Do you offer sizes other than what's offered on the website?

Yes we do. Kinn fine jewelry is handmade in Los Angeles, and solid 14k gold is priced based on the weight of the gold plus labor. For this reason, there is an additional fee that you can purchase here: https://kinnstudio.com/products/custom-sizes

Is it possible for me to send back my Kinn jewelry for engraving?

Yes, you may send your Kinn jewelry to our studio within 30 days if receiving. Engraving starts at $30, please use the link here to add the additional service: https://kinnstudio.com/products/additional-engraving

I live in Los Angeles. Can I try on the pieces at the studio before buying?

How much is shipping?

Here are the available shipping methods within the continental US:

STANDARD (when you spend $200+): Free Shipping (3-5 business days)

STANDARD (when you spend less than $200): $10 (3-5 business days)

EXPEDITED: $25 (2 business days)

Overnight: $45 (1 business day)Standard shipping is sent via USPS for orders less than $250, and via UPS for orders $250+ from our Los Angeles studio, not including weekends or holidays. Expedited and Overnight shipping is sent via UPS. 

For orders $500+, adult signature may be required.

How long does shipping take?

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to Canada, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, France, Spain, U.K., Germany, Sweden and Belgium.

For international orders, the customers are responsible for import duties and taxes on your order depending on the country in which you reside. You may contact your customs office for additional information. There can be occasional customs or courier delays which may affect your delivery timeframe, which unfortunately are beyond our control.

When will I receive my refund?

Returns are typically processed within 3-5 business days of their arrival at our studio, which allows our team to inspect the product received. You will receive a refund receipt via email when your refund is being processed. Refunds are generally posted to bank accounts within 2-3 business days. 

Will you refund my shipping?

We are unable to refund shipping fees. We are also unable to refund Route Package Protection.

I think my package is lost.

If you think your package is lost, email us right away with your order number at hey@kinnstudio.com with your order number and we'll try our best to solve the issue. Please note that Kinn is not responsible for lost or stolen items once it's marked 'Delivered' by the delivery service. Please also check with your neighbors or the front desk to see if they may have accidentally picked up your package. 

Can I change my shipping address?

Materials

Where's your jewelry made?

We work with a locally owned manufacturer here in Los Angeles — not only to have better control of the quality, but to ensure the people who make our jewelry are fairly compensated and working under safe conditions, too. Read more here.

Are all your pieces made with 14k solid gold?

All of our pieces are made with 14k solid gold (not plated nor filled), except for our lockets. To learn more about the difference, read more about it on the journal here.

Where do you source your gold and diamonds?

We only work with vendors with high ethical standards and knowledge of the supply chain. That means, the gold that we use are regulated and certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). With these regulations, gold is sourced from a Fairmined Certified Mining Organization. This is also regulated and backed by a 3rd party audit that ensures the artisanal mining organizations meet the standards at all times. Our stones are conflict free and goes through the Kimberly Process (KP). Most of our stones are cut and polished here in downtown Los Angeles, while some are cut in Canada. You can read more about it here.



Can you make custom jewelry?

We accept custom bespoke orders. If you have vintage pieces i.e. your grandmother's ring, we can repurpose that using the metal and/or the stone. We can also sit down with you and design a one-of-a-kind from scratch. Please send us your inquiry to hey@kinnstudio.com.

Why do you include how much the gold weighs in all of your products?

Today, precious metal weight and value are almost never disclosed. This lack of transparency is what enables modern jewelry brands to earn up to 80% of the original purchase price as revenue and is why modern jewelry fails to maintain its value. The weight of the gold object is measured in troy ounces, and the price of gold per ounce is the same across the world.

How do you authenticate your products?

We receive all items and physically evaluate each piece by professional experts including gemologists. Our process ensures that pieces are reviewed before the item is available for sale. We will also reject any item that does not match up to our standards. 

How are your diamonds and gemstones graded?

All items are appraised and inspected by our certified gemologists, and the evaluation is performed in accordance with GIA standards. Please note that in accordance to the GIA standards, all mounted diamonds and gemstones are not removed from their mounting. 

What is your return policy?

Return requests must be made within 7 days of shipment and the item must be returned within 14 days of original shipment. 

What are my shipping options?

We ship domestically and to some international countries.

All shipments are sent via UPS from our Los Angeles studio, not including weekends or holidays. Unfortunately, we do not ship to P.O. Boxes.

When will my order ship?

Most orders ship within 2 business days. We'll notify you via email when the item is ready to be shipped with a tracking number.  

Vow

Can I get my Vow Engagement Ring engraved?

We offer an additional flat charge of $50 USD for engraving. We offer both the York Script or Arial Font, and the engraving can include up to 12 characters. Letters and numbers only, no special characters.

Please note: If the client needs a resize and existing engraving cannot be saved, there will be a charge for a re-engraving.

Can I get my Vow Engagement Ring resized?

Your first resize is complimentary at Vow by Kinn. We offer resizing for both full and half sizes, however full sizes are advised on a case by case basis.

Our Vow Eternity style rings cannot be resized, and are final sale. Should you need a second resizing, please reach out to vow@kinnstudio.com, and we will provide a quote for your ring to be resized.

What’s your Return Policy?

Kinn offers a 30 Day Return Policy for all Vow collection rings. We will determine if the piece is eligible for a full refund when we receive the ring. There may be a 20% restocking fee depending on the condition of the returned pieces (i.e. if it's been severely worn, damaged).


Resized & Vow Eternity rings are final sale.


Engraved Vow collections rings are final sale.


Bespoke & Custom Vow rings are final sale.

If your Vow ring has been worked on by a third party jeweler, it is no longer covered under our Warranty, and can not be returned or exchanged.

Do you provide Repair Services?

For up to two years from your purchase, Kinn guarantees your Vow rings to be free from fabrication errors such as loose diamonds, loose prongs, or faulty metal. Fabrication errors do not include normal wear and tear, improper care, cleaning, storage techniques, or third-party repairs. Scratches, lost or stolen items, discoloration from use of harsh chemicals, and distorted rings do not fall under our warranty.

Each and every Vow ring is handmade to order, just for you. Due to the nature of each piece, slight variations are normal.

How do I take care of my Vow ring?

Always store your Vow jewelry in the packaging it arrived in. Do not wear your Vow ring while using harsh chemicals, lotions, or perfumes. Remove before performing any strenuous activity such as living heavy objects. To clean your Vow jewelry, take a soft bristle toothbrush and a small amount of diluted dish soap and scrub gently under warm water. Let your ring dry in a safe place.

Can I get my Vow ring insured?

Kinn will provide you with an appraisal for you to get insured upon purchase. We recommend Jeweler’s Mutual, where you can get a fast & free quote based on your zip code. Please note that we are not affiliated with any 3rd parties. For more information, please email us at vow@kinnstudio.com.

Can I create a custom ring with Vow by Kinn?

We curate every gemstone and design bespoke pieces for each client, and we uphold a high level of quality for every piece of jewelry we make. Vow only works with diamonds in the D-I color grades and Very Slightly Included clarity grades or better. To learn more about the 4C’s and Vow’s diamond standards, click here.

For redesign projects, we ask that all diamonds and gemstones be evaluated for damage by one of our specialists before a custom project can begin. We always want to ensure we’re able to bring your vision to life!

How long does it take to get a Vow ring made?
