Orders & Returns

What's your return policy?

Domestic orders may be returned within 10 business days of delivery for a refund or within 20 business days for store credit. Jewelry must be unworn, in its original condition and packaging, and accompanied by order details. A 20% restocking fee may apply if items are damaged or show signs of wear, as determined by us.

For returns refunded to your original payment method, a $10 fee is deducted for the return label. If you choose store credit, we will cover the cost of the return label. Please be advised that once the product has been shipped, we do not refund shipping costs.

Note: Items purchased through Kinn stockists must be returned or exchanged directly with the stockist and are subject to their return and exchange policies. If you placed your order on Facebook or Instagram Shop, please initiate your return request directly on the platform.

What's your exchange policy?

Domestic orders may be exchanged within 20 business days of delivery. Jewelry must be unworn, in its original condition and packaging, and accompanied by order details. A 20% restocking fee may apply if items are damaged or show signs of wear, as determined by us.

We will provide a prepaid return label at no cost for exchanges.

If you exchange an item, any return from that exchange can only be issued as store credit or exchanged for another item. Refunds are not available for exchange orders, as the original purchase was already refunded or credited during the initial exchange process.

Note: Items purchased through Kinn stockists must be returned or exchanged directly with the stockist and are subject to their return and exchange policies. Facebook and Instagram Shop orders are not eligible for exchanges.

Are international orders eligible for returns or exchanges?

Unfortunately, international orders are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or resized.

What items are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange?

Certain items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. These include custom orders, custom sizes, engraved jewelry, personalized pieces, engagement rings, archive or vintage items, gift cards, and international orders. Some select products may also be limited to exchange or store credit only, which will be noted in the product description. Products sold as sets must be returned in full—partial returns (such as the chain only from a pendant necklace) are not accepted. Please read product descriptions carefully before ordering.

When will I receive my refund?

Returns are typically processed within 5–7 business days of arriving at our studio. Once your return has been processed, you will receive a refund confirmation email. Refunds are generally posted to bank accounts within 2–3 business days.

Depending on the condition of the returned item, a 20% restocking fee may apply, as determined by us, if the item is damaged or shows signs of wear.

Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable.

Can I cancel or edit my order after it's been placed?

Please email us at hey@kinnstudio.com within 24 hours of placing your order, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. Orders begin processing immediately or may already be in production, so some changes or cancellations may not be possible.

Can I edit my address after the order's been placed?

If your order hasn’t shipped, we can update the shipping address. Please email us at hey@kinnstudio.com with the updated address as soon as possible.

We are unable to change a billing address once an order has been placed.

Do you offer buy now pay later or financing options?

We offer Affirm in the US and Klarna in select international countries, allowing you to receive your jewelry now and pay over time. Simply select your preferred plan at checkout.

I live in Los Angeles. Can I come pick up my jewelry from your studio?

Please email us at hey@kinnstudio.com and we will do our best to accommodate pickup requests.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY ORDER ARRIVES DAMAGED? 

If your order arrives broken or damaged, please email us at hey@kinnstudio.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. We'll be happy to assist with a complimentary replacement.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we offer complimentary shipping to select countries worldwide:

North America: Canada

Asia: Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand

Europe: France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, Greece, Norway, Czech Republic, Iceland

All international orders are shipped via DHL. Shipping costs, customs duties, and taxes are calculated at checkout based on your country. Please note that delivery may be delayed during peak seasons or due to customs processing, which is unfortunately beyond our control. You may contact your local customs office for additional information.

How can I track my order?

You can track your order by logging into your Kinn Account or by checking your shipping confirmation email. Please note it may take 1–2 business days for tracking updates to appear.

When will my jewelry arrive?

For ready-to-ship pieces, please allow 1–2 business days for processing, plus shipping time. For made-to-order pieces, please allow 4–6 weeks for processing, plus shipping time.

Orders placed on weekends or major holidays will be processed the next business day. Please note that we do not deliver on weekends or holidays, and processing or shipping may take longer during peak and holiday seasons.

my package hasn't arrived. What should I do?

If you cannot locate your package, please email us at hey@kinnstudio.com with your order number. We’ll do our best to help locate your package or provide a solution.

Please note that we are not responsible for lost or stolen orders once the carrier marks them as “Delivered.” Be sure to check with neighbors or your building’s front desk, as they may have received your package.

Products & Materials

Where is your jewelry made?

We work with manufacturers in Los Angeles and New York. This gives us better control over quality and ensures that our makers are fairly compensated and working under safe conditions. Most of our necklace and bracelet chains are made in Italy. Read more here.

Are all of your pieces made with 14k solid gold?

All of our yellow gold pieces are made with 14k solid gold (not plated or filled). Learn more here.

Where do you source your gold and diamonds?

We only work with vendors with high ethical standards and knowledge of the supply chain. That means, the gold that we use are regulated and certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). With these regulations, gold is sourced from a Fairmined Certified Mining Organization. This is also regulated and backed by a 3rd party audit that ensures the artisanal mining organizations meet the standards at all times. Our stones are conflict free and goes through the Kimberly Process (KP). Most of our stones are cut and polished here in downtown Los Angeles, while some are cut in Canada. You can read more about it here.

I don't know my ring size. Do you have a ring sizer?

Alternatively, you can visit your local jeweler to get sized.

How do I care for my Kinn pieces?

To extend the life of your pieces, remove them while using harsh chemicals, lotions, beauty products, and perfumes. Do not wear while performing any strenuous activity or lifting heavy objects. We also recommend removing them in extreme heat and humidity, and while swimming in chlorine. 

Clean your Kinn pieces with a soft bristle toothbrush and a small amount of diluted dish soap. Scrub gently under warm water. Let your pieces air dry in a safe place.

Do your products have a warranty?

Yes, our warranty covers one complimentary repair within six months of order delivery, given that the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect. Our warranty does not cover lost pieces, improper storage of a piece, or any modification made to a piece by a third party.

With the purchase of our Kinn Concierge Service, our warranty extends to three years from the delivery date of the original order.

Please note that most Kinn pieces are handmade and may have attributes that vary slightly from what is portrayed on our website. These are not defects and will not be repaired.

Do you provide repairs?

We offer complimentary repairs for pieces that fall under our warranty. Pieces outside of our warranty will incur a repair fee. Please fill out the repair service form HERE for any repair requests. Repairs typically take 3-4 weeks once we receive your piece. Please note that this timeframe may vary during peak periods or if additional materials are needed.

Due to the nature of herringbone chains, hollow hoops, and hollow link chains, these pieces may not be able to be repaired. If you have specific questions, please email hey@kinnstudio.com.

We do not offer repairs for international orders.

Do you make custom jewelry?

Yes, we accept custom jewelry orders. For custom and repurpose inquiries, please fill out the form HERE.

Please note that custom pieces typically take at least 4-6 weeks to complete once our team begins production.

Why do you include the gold weight of each piece in product details?

Today, precious metal weights and values are almost never disclosed. Lack of transparency enables modern jewelry brands to earn up to 80% of the original purchase price as revenue, and is why jewelry fails to maintain its value. The weight of a gold object is measured in troy ounces, and the price of gold per ounce is the same across the world.

What pieces are available in store?

You can shop our collection of what is available in store HERE. We may not have all sizes available. For confirmation on the availability of your desired piece, please reach out to our store directly by phone or email.

Can I order online and pick it up in the store?

We do not provide the option for online purchase with in-store pickup at this time. If you call our store, our team can reserve an in-stock item for you for a period of up to 2 hours.

What’s your store return policy?

In-store Purchases

For in-store purchases, you may return or exchange most unworn or unused items within 15 days of the purchase date for a full refund to the original payment method. 

Pieces must be in unworn condition with the original packaging, including jewelry boxes and pouches. Please make sure to have your order number and order confirmation email ready. 

We will determine if the piece is eligible for a full refund. Depending on the condition of the returned item, there may be a 20% restocking fee (i.e. if it's been damaged or clearly worn).

Select Vow pieces are only available for exchange or store credit.

Gift cards are final sale. 

We do not accept partial returns for products sold as sets i.e. returning the chain only from a pendant necklace purchase.

Online Purchases

To return or exchange an online purchase at our store, please initiate your request through our portal. Select the return method as 'bring to our store' if you prefer to drop it off in person.

Custom orders, custom and half sized pieces, and engraved items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Can I recycle gold at the store?

No, we do not offer gold recycling at our store. To participate in our KinnCycle program by filing out the form here. You can also learn more about KinnCycle here.

Can I get pieces repaired at the store?

No, we do not offer repairs in store. To initiate a repair, please visit here.

Bridal

Can I get my Vow engagement ring or wedding band engraved?

Yes, we can engrave the inside of any engagement ring or wedding band for a fee of $60. 

We offer York Script and Arial fonts. The engraving may include up to 12 characters, letters and numbers only, no special characters.

Please note that once a ring is engraved, if it needs to be resized, the engraving may need to be redone and the client will incur an additional $60 fee.

Can I get my Vow engagement ring or wedding band resized?

For engagement rings, the first resizing is complimentary. We can adjust by either a full or a half size. We usually recommend resizing by a half size to keep the shape of the band.

Should you need a second resizing, please reach out to vow@kinnstudio.com, and we will provide you with a quote.

Due to the nature of our wedding bands, we can only resize select rings. You can purchase our resizing service HERE. All other wedding bands are eternity style and cannot be modified.

How long does it take to get a Vow ring made?

We typically ask for 6-8 weeks for all custom engagement pieces. Please account for additional time during peak and holiday seasons.

What does it mean if an engagement ring is ready to purchase?

Our ready to purchase engagement rings are available to buy directly on our website without consulting our design team. Please allow 3-6 weeks for production. Ready to purchase engagement rings are not eligible for return or exchange, but we do offer one complimentary resizing service.

If you are interested in any modifications, including a lab or natural diamond, different carat weight, or metal other than 14k yellow gold, please fill out our Custom Engagement Ring Questionnaire.

What’s your Vow return policy?

Due to the bespoke nature of our engagement rings, they are not eligible for return or exchange.

Depending on the piece, wedding bands may only be eligible for exchange or store credit within 10 days of order delivery. Please check the details section of the specific product page.

Resized and engraved rings are final sale.

All bespoke and custom rings are final sale.

If your Vow ring has been worked on by a third party jeweler, it is no longer under our warranty, and can not be returned or exchanged.

Do you provide repairs for Vow pieces?

For up to two years after you receive your ring, Kinn guarantees it to be free from manufacturing defects and errors such as loose diamonds, loose prongs, or faulty metal. Our Vow warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, improper care and storage, or third party repairs. Additionally, scratches, lost or stolen pieces, and discoloration from use of harsh chemicals do not fall under our warranty.

Each Vow ring is handmade to order. Due to the nature of each piece, slight variations are normal.

How do I care for my Vow ring?

Be sure to store your Vow ring in the Kinn packaging it arrived in. Do not wear your Vow ring while using harsh chemicals, lotions, or perfumes. Remove before performing any strenuous activity such as living heavy objects.

Can I get my Vow ring insured?

Upon purchase, Kinn will provide you with an appraisal to get your ring insured with your insurance agency. We recommend using Jeweler’s Mutual, where you can get a fast & free quote based on your zip code. Please note that we are not affiliated with any third parties. Can I create a custom ring with Vow by Kinn?

For each Vow client, we curate each gemstone and design a bespoke piece, while upholding a high level of quality.

We only work with diamonds in the D-I color grades, and the Very Slightly Included clarity grade or better. To learn more about the 4C’s and Vow’s diamond standards, visit HERE.

For repurpose and redesign engagement projects, we ask that all diamonds and gemstones be evaluated by one of our specialists before beginning a custom project. We always want to ensure that we’re able to bring your vision to life!
