8 Years In—A Founder’s Reflection

When my parents’ house was broken into years ago, it left me devastated. What was taken wasn’t just objects—it was stories, memories, a sense of belonging that couldn’t be replaced. That moment never left me. It’s what made me realize that jewelry is never just jewelry. Fine jewelry, at its best, carries meaning. It’s how we hold our stories when words aren’t enough.

I didn’t come into this industry with a traditional fashion background. What I had was drive. As an immigrant, failure never felt like an option. And yet, there were many times I wanted to quit and walk away. I’m only human. But then I was always reminded—by the community who loves Kinn as much as I do—why this brand exists. It’s not just mine. It belongs to everyone who’s chosen a Kinn piece to mark their story.

Eight years is proof that grit, vision, and stubborn passion can build something lasting. It’s proof that you don’t have to start with a grandioso idea. You can grow into it—by building brick by brick, by showing up when no one’s watching, by pushing forward when the world doesn’t yet understand what you’re creating.

Kinn has given me more than a business. It’s given me the chance to grow as a person, a leader, an entrepreneur. It’s given me the opportunity to lead, take risks, and to keep going when it felt impossible. And for that, I’m endlessly grateful.

Looking ahead, I’m not building just for now. Or even the next five years. I’m building for Kinn’s legacy—for a fine jewelry brand that will live on for decades. I want these pieces to continue carrying stories, becoming heirlooms, and connecting generations.

Eight years in, I know this is merely the beginning. And I can’t wait for the next chapters we’ll write together.
