At Kinn, we believe that traditions are the threads that tie generations together—quiet rituals that become lasting memories, often carried on through the things we wear and the moments we share.
For Kiki, motherhood is about honoring the rituals passed down from the women before her, while beginning new ones with her daughters, Doll and Coco.
“Traditions are important to me because they were always so important to my mom—and her mom,” Kiki shares. “Every Christmas, I make a breakfast casserole. It started with my mom, and now my sister and I do it together. It has to set overnight, so we prep it on Christmas Eve and bake it in the morning.”
The family’s ritual is so beloved—and so often missing the elusive recipe—that Kiki had it engraved onto a pan. “We should have it memorized by now,” she laughs, “but we don’t. So I had this pan made with the recipe etched in. Now we’ll never lose it.”
For Thanksgiving, they return to the Iwani Hotel in Yosemite, a tradition that began before Kiki was born. “When Doll was just two months old, we brought her with us. We stay in cabins, go on the same picnic every year… even there, our traditions live on.”
At Kinn, we design with these moments in mind. We craft modern heirlooms in solid 14k gold—pieces that are meant to live with you, and live on after you. Jewelry that marks memory, love, and legacy.
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate not just the women who raised us—but the traditions they gave us.
What we pass down matters. And the stories live on in gold.
