"We wanted to preserve the details that made my grandmother’s ring so distinct, while creating something that felt like ours."
For Bethany’s engagement ring, Ryan chose a diamond that had already been part of his family for generations: the 1.5-carat natural pear diamond from his grandmother’s original engagement ring.
The stone was reset into our Elise Setting, preserving the significance of the original ring while giving it a cleaner, more contemporary form. One detail Ryan and Bethany wanted to retain was the V-prong at the tip of the pear—a distinctive feature of his grandmother’s setting.
We paired the original V-prong detail with the refined lines and elevated profile of the Elise. The result honors the diamond’s history without replicating the original design, creating a ring that feels personal to Ryan and Bethany.
The finished ring carries a piece of Ryan’s family history into its next chapter, preserving the details that mattered while creating something distinctly theirs.
