Meet DJ and music supervisor Lindsay Luv. Raised outside of Boston, Lindsay discovered her passion for DJing while interning at Comedy Central in New York. After graduating with high honors from UMass Amherst, she embarked on a career in the corporate music industry. Inspired by her friendship with DJ AM, she decided to turn her passion into a profession. “My weekly residency at local hotspot Ella took off, and I soon started booking sets across Manhattan,” Lindsay shares.
Lindsay’s love for music is deeply rooted in her upbringing, heavily influenced by her parents’ extensive vinyl collection. Her distinctive sense of style has also helped her stand out in a male-dominated industry, attracting brands eager to collaborate with her. "I've always had a strong sense of personal style. I shopped at Patricia Field’s store in Soho and never shied away from statement clothes," Lindsay says.
Today, Lindsay focuses on luxury brand events in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. She also launched Lindsay Luv Creative, an influencer experiential agency, managing events for brands like Fairmont Hotels and Sesame Place.
Reflecting on her career, she highlights playing the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris as a standout moment. "Gaga and I bonded over music, nail art, and a connection with a mutual friend... It was an unforgettable Parisian night."
Balancing motherhood and her career, Lindsay meticulously schedules her time to ensure she can devote quality moments to her family. "When I am running out to an evening event, I will always have prepped a thoughtful meal for the family... making sure to find those moments and fulfill everyone’s needs daily helps me feel centered even when I’m busy."
Beyond music, Lindsay is a WSET-certified sommelier and finds inspiration in yoga and meditation. She advises aspiring professionals to be resilient and tenacious. "The instability of being a freelancer can feel challenging and exhausting, but it’s all I know and I welcome the challenge daily because it pushes me to do better and be better. Don’t let your setbacks be your fallbacks. You can always continue to evolve and expand even when the landscape feels intimidating."
